Finding places where we can paint without getting wet from the rain and getting a good composition was tough. Though I did like this cute restaurant, "Le Happy." I loved how square it was and the simple color palette. We were underneath a tree across the street. It didn't rain the first hour, but it started to drizzle and soon after started to rain really hard. Everything got soaked! I need to get a huge umbrella! Oh I love Portland!
I've been so worried to make a "shitty" painting that I don't make any. I've allowed my fear of making art to take over for too long. I've reached my breaking point. I came to the realization that I will not be able to make an awesome painting without making a whole lot of shitty paintings. So here I go...no control z...just mineral spirits!
